**Edited 5/20/24 So, it's been around 8 years since writing this review. Now, my wife lives in an adult family home with advanced early-onset dementia, and I wear her ring around my neck. My ring fell off some time ago while I was working in the garden. It's somewhere back there with the worms and her buried cat. I keep thinking of getting another, but I'm not sure yet.**I am in love with this ring. I find that it looks exactly like the photograph and isn't flimsy looking or super thin with sharp edges like I feared. Actually, it's even better looking than the photograph, it is slightly domed or rounded on top of the ring where the engraving is, and looks very professionally made. The ring walks a fine line for me of being too thin and being uncomfortable on my finger. I admit I'm a bit uptight about it but I don't like super thick rings. This ring doesn't come close to being too big. If it were thinner it would look kind of cheap but it's plenty thick for my taste. In the end, I can't feel it on my finger, I'm constantly looking at it to make sure it's still there. So,Pros: Beautiful sheen - semi-deep engraving, not just roughing it up on the surface like some rings - rounded top that looks classy. Thin enough for me not to notice it and sturdy enough to seem strongly made.Cons: Some, who are picky about these things, might find it thin - edges are flat (but even this is no big deal because they seem ever so slightly rounded and don't feel kind of sharp like some rings) - that's it for the cons in my mind, I can't think of anything else.I would buy again. As a matter of fact, I did buy again, I bought the 7mm version of the same ring for my partner so we can have virtually the same rings. Hers is just as well made.
